Malou Meyenhofer has designed choreography for theatres, festivals and performances in Europe, Asia and the US.
Amongst her own poductions are award-winning plays, like «The night before the morning after» (finale of competition «Solo Tanz Theater Wettbewerb Stuttgart», Germany) and «Beautiful Truth». In 2016 she won the price for emerging choreorgaphers in Switzerland. The same year she created «complicated!», a dance comedy noir, marking the beginning of her creative partnership with writer Igor Bauersima.
Commissioned works include performances in a vast variety of contexts, from Romeo and Juliet set in a Swiss Castle to a dance performance in the famous Umaid Bhavan Palace in Rajastan. Most of Meyenhofers work is shown in theatres and festivals. Her work has been supported and sponsored by Swiss and European foundations, as well as companies such as General Motors, Coca Cola and Unilever.
In India she has collaborated closely with Zenzi Mumbai, one of the main focal points of new culture in this megalopolis of 22 million people, creating a range of events, performances and workshops with them. As a guest choreographer / perfomer in the 6400 square foot opera-meets-warehouse performance space Bluefrog she worked with highly acclaimed international musicians such as Carlton Braganza, Venkat Subramaniyam, Jude Lazaro, Merlin D’Souza, Denis Pante, David Jacques, D Wood and award-winning hindustani classical sarodist Anupam Shobhakar.
Choreography _ Film & TV
Malou Meyenhofer has provided choreography for feature films, short movies, TV ads and music videos.
Having spent seven years in the epicentre of the Hindi film industry known as Bollywood, her work includes work for actress Kangana Ranaut as well as ensemble choreographies for dance groups from India, Australia, UK, Russia and Ukraine. She created several routines for herself and her dance partners for movies starring Sonam Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Rimi Senn, Ajay Devgn, Celina Jaitley and Govinda.
Her short dance film «The Livin› Is Easy» has won the Choreographic Captures Award of 2017.

Dance Teacher
Malou Meyenhofer features among the pioneers for teaching contemporary dance in India. She has created a dance curriculum for WWIL Whistling Woods International and created the Repertory Dance Company. She has co-founded and run the school LHI and taught there since 2008. She has established „Dance Across Cultures“, an NGO that teaches dance to and supports tribal girls in the film city area of Mumbai.
Teaching credits include many festivals and workshops in Europe, Asia, the US and Canada, in workshops in the Netherlands, Greece, Germany, Bali and maybe most notably at Herrang Dance Camp, the mekka of Jazz, Tap and Swing Dance in Sweden, where she has been a regular guest since 2004.
